Dry, wet, pressed, raw pet food. Fibradan can be used in all pet food applications as highly concentrated dietary fibre source. Dietary fiber in pet nutrition has essential role to help bowel moment. Fibers have regulatory role to enhance the digestive system function. In addition to nutritional function Fibradan® has functional role in the recipe formulation. Fibradan® has an ability of water and absorption and it is stable during the heat treatment.
APPLICATIONS IN FOOD
Fibradan® is insoluble and of medium fermentability in the pets gut. It is derived solely from pea hulls and has a uniquely high content of dietary fibres (>85%), all natural and gluten-free. The fibre consists mainly of cellulose and pectin and is also a good source of essential vitamins and minerals. To ensure state of the art bacteriological standards, Fibradan® is always heat treated and strictly controlled.
High water-binding capacity
Compared to other insoluble fibre Fibradan® has good water and fat absorption properties. Fine granulation of Fibradan® make it perfect in wet and raw pet food applications. Fibradan® is heat treated and therefore can be used in raw pet food due to its low bacteria count.
Cost effectiv
The ingredient is also a cost-effective solution, allowing a natural, clean-label positioning, with no-allergen claim. Frying loss can be significantly reduced when using Fibradan® in ground meat.
